Coming home from Primary school especially in the winter, to my Mum standing in the kitchen making me hot chocolate and cheese on toast...brilliant memory, always gives me a warm fuzzy feeling...

dot...no, no big deal, working class parents, I always had a train set, grandad (who brought me up with grandma ) always put rum in my tea, we always had a goose for lunch and then listened to the Queen's speech.

Birthdays ...no big deal.

Going to Grammar school, playing rugby and cricket, running, all exciting......but nothing "magic"

dot....passing it was OK, going to the Grammar School was exciting and challenging..........but so were many other things as a kid. Mind you, if I had been at Ormskirk Grammar school with you....that would have been "magic" ;-)

It could have been magic!!!! You could have skived off in the lunch break and shot off to the call box at the bus station and rung the school with a bomb scare and we would have got out of double Biology, instead Terry Peterson had to do it and he couldn't disguise his voice for toffee : (( i never asked him to do it again.
