Yep, I still swear by 'Get Off Crystals" which is what I posted on silly moo's link. Good luck Belinda.

There is no simple answer to this(I have several cats, who all use an indoor litter tray, and never poo in the garden).

The simplest answer is,get a cat of your own, and train it to use a litter tray. Then your cat will keep other cats out of your garden, and you will have a poo free garden too! and a wonderful furry companion.

You could try the scaredycat plant (coleus canina). Apparently cats hate the smell. You can get it in most garden centres, and even by mail order. I even saw it listed in a garden catalogue that came free with the Radio Times the other week.

I would try garlic, boiled in water, and then poured over the lawn. Cats hate it as it make their sinuses stream and eyes water.

Before anyone calls me an animal hater, I have 3 cats myself.

I just know friends who want cats off their garden, and garlic will make them run at the slightest sniff. They are in no way abused, hurt, or maltreated.

A friend of mine bought a garden ornament in the shape of a weasel. Very life-like, and he has never had a cat in his garden since.
