If you take a lease on a commercial property is it the landlords responsability to ensure electric,s gas and water supplies all meet goverment specifications before they can lease the property. I know the law has changed on this recently but i believe this is down to the landlord and not the tennant

Before buying their own shop, friends of ours leased another property, and yes, the landlord was responsible for the electricity and water supply meeting regulations, but this was 2 years ago, so not sure if this still holds.
