Is this the best AB can do?

I was looking forward to the new AB set-up., However my disappointment is such that I have now become an infrequent contributor.

No longer do I receive e/mail notification of replies to my questions, or an e/mail to threaded items.

AB's Tech Boys need to get with it.

I'm glad we don't get e mails any more, they clogged up my in box.

If you select 'My Profile' it goes straight to questions you have asked, so you can check answers easily.

There is also a tab for subscribed threads.

Simples.

At least My Profile is now working after several years of \"time out\", so am delighted, as the ole brain couldn\'t remember where it had been!!!!

i donlt mind the no emails thing, but this new ab version 2 is a bit of an anticlimax.

when we click on our profiles for q's answered etc, i would prefer to see them in the order that i replied/posted to them rather than in the order of the when the q was posted. thats how it used to be isnit

I don't like the new set-up either. I miss the e-mails telling me that I| have am amswer to my question & I hate those horrid pink blobs beside the postings. I definitely preferred the old format.

I think less frequent users would benefit from email notirfications, as a chatter though, they are my idea of hell :)

although a newsletter would be good every so often ..

It's a Q & A site, as long as I can ask questions and reply to others im fine. It's pretty much all I want from the place.

Mind you, saying that, if it could cook my meals and clean my house as well, i'd be really chuffed!

I realy think that some individuals guage their own status, importance, or popularity by the number of emails that they recieve, even if most them (emails) impart little or no useful information..............It's sublimely simple to check if you have responses or not.
