Hi I would like to know what the best course would be to study event management, I currently have a degree in dental technology, but would like to change my carreer to event management, any info would be great

Look up Arts Management courses online. Even better, offer yourself for work experience at an Arts Centre so you can learn about event management for real. Also, contact all the summer festivals and offer to help organise/help in any way. You will learn so much about event management from this- you may not actually need to do anymore studying.

Do you need a degree to do event management? Surely common sense and excellent time and people management skills are more important. The fact that you already have a degree shows that you are able to focus, commit and work to a high level for sustained periods and that you pay good attention to detail etc etc.

Check with a potential future employer before wasting money on tuition fees - you may already be qualified enough for the job!!!
