Best Telephone Provider

I don't know if this is the correct category, however, I am thinking of changing from BT to a less expensive telephone call provider - free evening and weekend calls, keeping my same telephone number.  What would you suggest? Also is it worth incorporating Sky TV or anything else with the monthly price? It's a minefield out there ..

we use talktalk, very cheap, we dont use the home phone much and our bills have been silly one was 47p for the month! free evening and weekend calls, and calls to other talktalk customers are free anytime

I am enquiring about Talk Talk, AOL Talk and Tesco.  Does anyone know what the service is like, if the phone breaks down? And does anyone know if the prices the above quote, are inclusive of VAT? Thanks !!

I'm quite happy with Telewest's package of cable tv, unlimited phonecalls including unlimited internet access all for the one fixed monthly sum.  Prices vary according to your tv selection.  Best bet is to shop around. Good hunting.

As another means of getting free phone calls, how about investigating SKYPE (the software system you can download free onto your computer).  You just  stick a microphone into your computer and use it as a susbstitute telephone.   All phone calls to other computer users who have installed SKYPE on their computers are free.
