She Moved Through The Fair
I've been trying to find out who sings a particular version of this song.
The singer is female, and it's quite an up-tempo version, compared to others I've heard. There is a fiddle between the verses, and it seems more comtemporary than folky.
I can tell you who it's not..... Mary Black, Mary McLaughlan, Loreena McKennitt , Sinead O'Connor, Maire Brennan, Anuna, Meav, Charlotte Church, or Fairport Convention.
Anyone know who it might be? I know it's difficult as it's been covered a lot, but any ideas welcome (I've only just found out the title after looking for it for 10 years!). Thanks.

Although Van Morrison isn't what I'm looking for, I might still check it out. Have never heard of Cara Dillon, but I'll do my best to find her version. I'll let you know how I get on. Thanks to all of you.
If you go to www.allmusic.com and type in the song name you'll get a long list - not too many female artists, so you should be able to narrow it down.
