Teletext on ITV

I am having problems getting Teletext on ITV & Channel 4. I am aware that there were changes made recently, but when I press the TEXT button a message appears telling me to press TV on my remote& then TEXT.
When I do this all that happens is a Green & Red bar appears with a + & - but no teletext channel.
I am with Sky+. What is the problem? Thanx in advance

Thank you for your reply ChuckFickens. As I wrote I knew of the closedown of Teletext but yesterday a colleague assured me that he can still access it on SKY since he uses it to book holidays via their pages.
From reading the page you directed me to I can't imagine how he is doing it.

According to their website Teletext Holidays is available on sky channel 672
