my laptop wont load!

When i start my laptop up it comes up with "windows boot manager". and says that windows could not start due to a connection error on a removable device...but i do not have any removable devices.

My laptop is a toshiba and has windows 7 installed.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

It sounds like your laptop has "lost" the fact it has a hard disk installed.

Has it perhaps been dropped and the hard disk has "slid out" of its slot.

Try to open the hard disk cover and push the hard disk back in.

i have taken the cover off and pushed the hard drive back into the slot...turned the laptop on again, but still no change.
does this mean i need a new hard-drive?
