MY fiance was charged with section 18 with intent, ( knife 5 inch cut to head fixed with staples at hospital and carrieing an offensive weapon in public) he went to police staiton to carrie out interview and was released on bail, when he answered bail he was interviewed again and held over night for court next day, where he was granted bail. Even the prosicution service recomended bail. He is now at crown court tomorrow morning. All the case has against him is the fact he got I.D in an ID parade by the victim. although he has alibi's ( my Fiance) that proves he was nowhere never the scene of the crime at the time. They have no forensics just his bad record and that he was pointed out in I.D. We found out that my fiances friend was responsable for the attack as he was remanded straight away on the night it happened and went to court and went to jail with no prevouis convictions. It is known that my fiance hangs around with the offender so we think it could be treated as mistaken idenity. Also witness discreption does not match MY fiance. and only one could point him out in the I.D parade. Anyone who can help would be appreceated. Do you think my fiance would get bail again at crown court?

sasa_wilko. Obviously its pointless me now commenting on the bail issue as your partner would have been to court at time of this posting.

Please note, your partner would not have been 'charged' on the evidence of an ID parade alone.
