You replied to a question of mine about gagging when you brush your teeth? I've discovered a help to me,but its obscure,so it may not help you, but, thought i'd let you know! After watching a tv prog which used the tune "Polly wolly doodle",i went upstairs humming it,and as i went to brush my teeth while still humming, and only using a tiny bit of tooth paste as usual,i found the gag reflex was really kept at bay! To my eternal embarrassment now,i brush my teeth humming same song ;-) But you understand the relief eh?

Lol...I will try it but I don't know the tune :-)
Does it have to be polly wolly doodle, or would humming just anything work?
I've been gagging these last few days, but I think that's because of my cold.
I actually tried it...to the tune of polly put the kettle on. It worked....I was concentrating on humming the song.
Now we just need a song that lasts for 2 mins and we can all brush properly. I vote for Onward Christian Soldiers because it's what my granny used to boil eggs to. Someone else will have to time how many verses we need as I am off out Ice skating ( on an ice rink-no snow on Isle of Man ).
