parcels left on the doorstep

After complaining many times, and so have lots of other A/B ers about posties putting a card through your door but not bringing the goods with them, I now have a new complaint----- leaving parcels on doorsteps without knocking, three times this has happened I live an a main road, they have not knocked because I have two dogs who would have barked the street down, when I open thestreet door I fall over a parcel ! So lucky it hasnt been stolen. Does anyone else have this problem ?

maybe you could buy one of those parcel boxes that you fix to your frount wall and the postman leave it safe in the box

I fitted one of those boxes. 90% of the time the postie fails to use it, 9.99% of the time it's used but they can't work out how to lock the door.

take the parcel in then chase the company up and ask them why your parcels not been delivered yet and get another one for free !

I often find recorded delivery items just dumped with the rest of the post. Dont these need to be signed for?

We have had this problem repeatedly over the last few months so we have taken to logging a complaint with Royal Mail every time it happens in the hope they reprimand the post man. However this week we have not received two parcels we ordered - has he stopped delivering them to us now or have they been stolen? We will never know!
