In an effort to start, & contribute to, & end, a thread by moi which has no smutty intent or dirty business, I bring you this one (especially for you Logic).
My niece texted me last night, all excited, cos she was going to see a play with her school. I asked her what it was, she replied "The Turn of the Screw" Aunty T.
I didn't want to make her feel silly, so I (gently) laughed & (gently) put her right; "Danni, you must mean "The Taming of the Shrew". It's by Shakespeare. But she swore she'd got it right, so I didn't want to argue.
Do you know what? She could well have been right & now I feel awful for trying to smugly correct her. And to think I knew about English Literature....
Logic - find one smutty innuendo in this and I'll eat my hat. The one with the flap...
Thanks ayre - I realised that this morning when I wikipedia'd it. I thought the title rang a bell, but was so fixed on the taming of the shrew.... schools usually take bored kids to shakespeare plays, so...
