Car registration
I just registered a new car in my name and they spelt my surname wrong (again!). Do I have to send it back to be changed by law. Could there be any problems if I don't do it. All they have done is put a C instead of an L.

"You must ensure that the name and address printed on the Certificate is correct. If it is not, you must omplete Section 6 of the Certificate. On receipt, DVLA will issue a new Certificate within 6 weeks."
and just to clarify the point
"By law you must inform DVLA in writing immediately bout any change to your name or address. If you do ot tell us, you may have to pay a fine of up to �1,000. If you deliberately give us false information, you may ave to pay a fine of up to �5,000 and go to prison for up to 2 years."

He has now filled in it ..yet again ..and sent it back with a piece of paper attached in which he has spelled out the correct name in capital letters in felt tip pen!!This is not the first time either.It happened with his two previous cars.It's a pain in the neck but you have to send it again.Can they read?This is what to know!!
