Norma married in london in 1967 can you check her husband's name craft?

Looks like she may have been a widow as Francis R Pickett died in 1941 aged 33.

right dot a Norma H Baxendall married a Robert A McCormack in Havering, London in 1967.

No Dot - Baxandall was my Aunt's natural father.

I assume that's a typo Baxendall rather than Baxandall?

Jonathan baxandall marr Ada Lyne in Lancaster, Sept 1898 Q3 8E 1403
one child found...John baxandall born Prestwich, 1911.

John baxandall marr Elvina Pettican (born Romford 1916), in Romford 1936. (elvina's mothers maiden name was Ireson)

found a marriage record for Elvina Baxandall in Romford Q2 1946 (4a 1584) to a man named 'Shuttle'.
could be that if she married john in 1936, they then divorced and she re-married in 1946, while John married Helen Pickett.

for the other family memebers, one of what I believe is Johns brothers, George E baxandall, married an 'English' in Romford in 1939

right lol I'll have to re-read again! Anyway, Francis Pickett could have been a victim of the blitz if they were in London. Not found him as a casulaty on the CWGC site though,

Your info is correct Munchie - Elvina married Harold Shuttle in 1946. They went onto to have a daughter. Unfortunately they never wanted my Aunt who went to live with her grandmother. Quite why her natural father John Baxandall never came to see her is a mystery. I wonder if her half sister Norma McCormack ever knew about my Aunt.

I think you'll find they had more than one child munchie - this is Jonathans family on the 1911 census.......

Craft could you double checkthat place name cos i think it is Adlington lancs which is the enxt village to where I lived up to 2 years ago,. . Leigh is next door to Wigan too
