Helping someone lose weight
13 Answers
Hi,
My partner wants to lose some weight, about 2 stone.
What can I do to help, encourage, make it easier for her.
And no i've never commented about her weight. I love her as she is and will love her the same if she loses or puts 2 stone on.
Thanks

If she aims to lose weight and keep it off she just needs to follow a healthy low fat diet with plenty of fruit and veg - which is good for all of us. You can join in and after a while you just get into the habit of eating well and can't go back to the old pattern. You will then both feel great and I promise she will lose weight (I speak from experience!). No faddy diets because all that happens is that you take weight off quickly and put it all back on (and more) afterwards.

I've had chronic back problems for years Lottie....apparently it's not my back but my pelvis which is the cause. I found a wonderful osteopath (who I was dragged to unwillingly) and after a few treatments I felt the best I had in years. After the initial treatments I just used to go back every 6 months for 1 session...........he's died and I'm now back in agony.
