I purcahsed a new up to date computer comploete with and LGw2043s-pf monitor.
I kept the old computer which used a CRT montor and plugged it and the new one ( via a KVM switch ) into the LG monitor - new computer is fine on it but on the old conputer the icons are stretched and when I try to set the resolution to 1600x900 it will not accpet it and says it is out of range.
Is it a matter of installing a driver for it or is the graphics card not suitable ?
Is this one suitable?http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/New-ATI-Radeon

The graphics card description is for an AGP card, it's unlikely your new pc will have an AGP slot. Nowadays they are PCI, or PCI Express.
What graphics card have you got fitted?
Have you got a spare PCI slot?
