Can First Class Stamps Be Traced

I hope not let's face it. But basically, over the last few months i've noticed that things in the distance are becoming more and more blurry. Obviously this could just be a sign that i need glasses. The reason i'm a little confused is that:
(1) My eyes have been perfect until about two months ago, can they go wrong this quickly?!
(2) Some days they are fine again, it seems that looking at something close for a while, like a screen or book, makes them stick like that. Is that usual?
Is there anything I can do? Or is this problem just a really quick onset of short-sightedness? I really can't believe how quickly its happened. I would get an eye test, but I don't know how much use it'll be, since some of the time they're fine, and they constantly get better and worse at random. Anyone know anything about eyes? Any advice would be appreciated.
