out of date cider....????

odd question i know, but i had bought for me a few bottles of koppaberg apple cider over christmas. i didnt notice then but they were out of date at the end of sept 09!!. now its nearly march 2010 can i continue to drink or not.?. they cannot be returned to were they were bought. cheers.

As with all food and drink. If it says 'use by' then do as it says as the product will deterioate rapidly from this date. However, if it is a 'best before' date, then all it means is it won't taste quite as good, the longer after that date consume it .
ps. After the first couple of glugs you won't know the difference, get it down ya!

It should be fine.
When you open it if it smells like Cider it will be ok to drink.and you won't get ill.
If it smells off then dispose of it.
We used to drink cider,when I was a boy(back in the 1930's) that had been opened and the stopper put back,and it was 2 years old,and we never got ill(just tipsy.LOL)
All this was before we had anything like sell by/drink by dates.
