I have been given a mobile phone numer for some one in australia!

what code do you think it is, that has to be added or changed before sending a text ?

does any one know please -- many thanks for any replies

You can EASILY find this out on the web.

Just search for "dialling Australia from the UK" (assuming you are dialling from the UK).

I i do phone australia with no problem, but have never sent a text message.

"If you are texting replace the initial 00 with a + sign"
You can do that whether texting or speaking, the + sign indicates to the 'phone that you want it to dial the International dialling prefix and adjust the number accordingly.
