if youve passed your test the examiner usually takes the provisional licence and sends it off in exchange for a full one so why would you have a pass certificate and provisional licence?
lol you can do what you like once you pass. i passed in july 2008 and come august i look my family upto Birmingham (obviously i tried out the A3 and a few junctions of the M25 before the whole trip)however for first timers i just recommend you keep in the slow lane untill you get the idea of how other drivers behave at speed. dont overtake untill you are completely comfortable at doing so,just remember you have too much to loose and the thrill is not worth the risk.
And don't just park your ar*e in the middle lane & stay there, regardless of what else is happening in the lanes on either side of you - drives me up the wall when drivers do that.
Not me - after approx 100 yds if they're still fannying about in the middle lane when there's nothing in the inside lane I get past them as soon as I can. Should be an extra test to pass in order to use a motorway cos some people haven't got an effin clue
100 yards?? well at 70/80 mph thats what... 3 seconds? lol
but yeh i agree.. some people really dont have a clue, i too end up overtaking them and giving an extra rev as i go past in hope they realise they should move over.
Just a bit of advice Benny, your mirror is vital on a motorway "USE IT" do not underestimate speed although the limit is 70, there are a lot doing well over the odds, Motorway driving is totaly different to (A) Roads, as long as you remember that, you will not go far wrong, last, if you break down head for the Hard Shoulder and keep well into the hard shoulder lane, check before you get out, I have seen many a door taken off by a passing lorry,
