TV's Digital switchover

I have a fairly new analog TV in one of my bedrooms, which is connected to a Sky box and a DVD recorder/player.

Will I still be able to continue to use this, even after the Digital switch-over?

If a friend recommended a foreign film as being really good but it had subtitles. Would you watch it?

On the 2nd trial and retribution was the guy who was the local tramp really the killer of the little girl or was it her stepdad (Owen from Eastenders but with long hair). my sky plus cut off too soon and i missed the end.

Yes.
Even very old televisions can be used with Freeview boxes, or sky or cable tv.
