No chance with any song to be honest.

It's not a bad song, and he's a decent singer- though i did prefer the other lad, was a bit poppier.
could you post a video of him please, i haven't seen him. :-(

No April, not tonight. Tonight was the choosing of the singer for it.

BOO, compare the difference in quality between our new song and the Norwegian winner of 2009 which was performed earlier. there's no contest. there's no chance in this year's contest.
I just caught the last minute or so of that programme. Is that really the chosen song?
to be fair chirpy, the norwegian chappy has probably been singing that song every day for almost a year by now. I should hope that he's note perfect by now!

but even a year ago Fairytale was in a different league and class - it has the eurovision x factor
Bring back Scooch
Really?

I thought the song ruddy horrible then and just as bad tonight. Each to their own I guess :-)
Will someone please tell me if the song I caught the end of is the chosen one. It sounded terrible outdated.
I have to agree with naomi,
The awful song sounds like a reject from the 1960's Eurovision!
You are absolutely right chirpychirpy. Didn't see this from the very beginning but why were the contestants singing songs from the 80's?
Presume it had something to do with Pete Waterman, he wanted to know how they sounded singing songs from that era so he would know how they sounded singing this new song which also sounds like something from the 80's. In fact when the first person sang it, I thought it was 'Kids from America' that Kim Wilde recorded.
I didn't see the winner last year but watching him tonight, I quite agree when you say he has the Eurovision X-Factor.
Ooh ! Link please !
Thank u Missprim :-)
Yikes, that brought me down to earth with a dull thud.
I always remember Eurovision being full of "oompah oompah" style tat.
I Just watched as much as I could of the link Missprim kindly posted but - ugh. Graham Norton, Pete Waterman, Andrew Lloyd "do you know who I am?!" Hairdo.
The warning signs were all there.
The end result?
Bland, manufactured, embarrassingly flat at times nothingness.
Yayy! History will change nothing - rule Brittannia :-/
Nil point.
