Pregnant....?

I last had sex about mid January. Had my 'period' in Feb which was nearly a week early and now going by that last bleed I am just over a week late. Could I be pregnant? I have not had sex since the January time and we used the withdrawal system....

Could you? Yes is the short answer.

There's a name for people who use the 'withdrawal method' for contraception - they are called 'parents'.

You need to get a test - go and see your GP for a confirmed test, and if you are not pregnant, and don't want to be, for heaven's sake use some proper protection - your GP will discuss the best choice for you while you are getting your test done.

Home testing kits are pretty sophisticated these days. the rule if - if the test says you are not pregnant, then you may be, if it says you are, then you are.

They are so reliable now that doctors don't bother to re test.

any test taken now should give a true result. The tests at GPs are exactly same as those available for about £2 at chemists.

You may not be pregnant............but 'babies' is not the only thing you can catch through uprotected sex !

Thanks for all your replies, just for info, the last time was with my partner (ex now). Part of me hoping I am, part of me worried if not, then where is my period, and now stressing out perhaps I am going through the change and I have no kids yet.... (very late 30's is my age) maybe those are the reasons I am not buying a test, will wait a couple more days... x
