pulmonary oedema

hi,i lost my dad last week to severe pulmonary oedema,and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.we knew about the cardiomyopathy,could someone please let me know what pulmonary oedema is please.

hi - cant look at links at work but it is likley the PO was secondary to the cardiomyopathy. When the heart is not working at peak efficiency then the blood backs up from the heart to the lungs causing swelling (oedema)
