universities
sorry if this is a stupid question but do all universities follow a kind of syllabus? like if I studied a subject at one university, would people at a different university studying the same subject learn the exact same stuff?
Thanks =)

It's the exact oppoiste of school. You cna study entirely different things within the same degree title. Also, in the 2nd and 3rd years there are often option modules - so you can study something different from your peers at the same uni!!
This is partly how the universities get different reputations for different subjects.
If you're trying to choose a uni, then check out the Times rankings by subject. Also, don't be afraid to ask to see the sylabbus (sp?) and check out the option modules before you apply.
If that was irrelevant or patronising, then I apologise most sincerely! :-)
