not sure if this should be in science section

but what is the healthiest way of heating a home

from the standard options gas fire / central heating / coal fire

I suppose it has to be 'Central Eating'.

The others just provide Calories but you need vitamins, minerals and fibre as well to remain healthy.
Central heating produces a dry atmosphere that some find isn't particularly healthy - there are those who have to resort to using humidifiers (e.g. a basin of water) in their rooms to put some moisture back into the air they're breathing. Gas fires can produce fumes. In my day, an open coal fire was reckoned to be healthiest, since the hot air rising up the chimney continually draws fresh air into the room.
Yeah, I prefer Central Eating as well. As a bonus it produces Gas which you can light up if you so wish and save on energy costs.
I think it must be central heating.
