I'm having fillet of salmon on a base of sieve tomatoes and black olives (arrabiata style) with carrots, peas and french beans. I was tempted to buy some wine, but I managed to resist.

Lamb shank, mash, carrots, and onion gravy......if I can be arsed.

That sounds rather nice, Craft. With mint sauce?

Snags... oh behave. Doesn't the lovely lady deserve a proper dinner on a Friday?
The 'lovely lady' is down the pub for 'after work drinks' and I'm drinking wine here whilst doing a bit of freelance, so by the time we actually get round to food it's safe to assume we'll be past caring whether it's a 'proper dinner' or not.

Well that's my train of thought and I'm sticking to it ;-)

Fairy nuff. Who wants to cook after a few drinks, eh?
Tikka Masala out of a packet and a yoghurt...How sad is that?
Fish n chips from the chippie!
I took the kids out to a Chinese restaurant for lunch and am still stuffed.

I may manage a bit of chocolate later ;o)
Mussels in wine, leeks and carrots with crusty bread and a bottle of wine, so sorry NoMercy cant invite you as way too much wine!!!
burnt minted peas, lamb chops and mash

Any sauce with that?
Question Author
John... that sounds okay.

Sara... you have to leave room for choccie. It's non-fattening on a Friday night. ;-)

Grasscarp... mussels are one of my favourites. If I get round to making the zarzuela tomorrow night, I'll be sure to incorporate loads of them.

Funny... I'm jealous. I do love fish and chips - but only have them a couple of times a year. Total calorific apocalypse. lol
NoM, I'm sure you know this already but we have 2 stomachs.. a savoury stomach and a sweet stomach. your savoury tum can be full to busting, but there's always room in your sweet tum :o)

anyway, I have Aero Bubbles.. they're just air, right?
^ Yes... same as Champagne... doesn't count...
6 lge malaysian prawns grilled in garlic butter & crusty fresh Irish loaf.....lychees after & fresh tomato juice with dash of Lea & Perrins.
...and jellied eels for supper ;)
I'll come to craft's please, but next time? - that's one of my favourites - but OH has just cooked (and we have eaten) a yummy chili beef stir-fry, so I'm fullup now!
Question Author
Exactly, Sara and Snags. You can hardly get fat on bubbles, can you !

Tambo... jellied eels... how could you !!

Big Alfie... having a barbie are we?
