Gender

I notice that in some member profiles the gender is referred to as "not set". Does this imply "indeterminate"?

It means indeterminate inasmuch as you are unable to determine yourself the gender. However in reality it means that the subscriber, for what ever reason, does not wish to disclose his or her gender.
