my scones don't rise!

and I'm sick of it. They taste delish but never ever rise!
I've bought some baking powder but it doesn't say how to use it.
Do i add it to the flour or take some flour out? And how much should I use?

When you cut them out, don't twist the cutter. Also try bunching them all together when you bake them as that seems to help. Are you sifting your flour? You should. About 3 tspns of baking powder should be enough.
