Hazard Perception test

How many clicks would be deemed too many when taking this part of the theory test, and would therefore constitute a fail? I realise that the system checks for clicking in a pattern aswell as too many times, and I'm not doing this, but I find that in clicking on potential hazards aswell as developing hazards, I end up clicking as many as 20 times.

For instance, in reviewing one of the clips on my practice dvd, the developing hazard will be that there is a person walking along the road who steps out into the road, and to get the 5 points I should have clicked at the point where they were still just walking along the pavement. Does that then mean I should be clicking on every person walking along the pavement who could potentially step out?

If you've done the test, roughly how many times did you click per clip? I realise there's no set number of times, but I just need an idea of wether I'm overdoing it.

The Hazard Perception is a pain in the arse, basically. It was just a fluke that I passed. My sister kept failing on this part and then I found this website for her: http://www.theory-test.co.uk/asp/hazard_percep tion_info.asp

She did have to pay a little bit for it (I don't remember how much exactly), but it meant she could practice as many times as she needed to on loads of the different potential scenes they might give you. I'm sure it tells you when to click, also.

Thanks for your answers. I already have a practice dvd which is pretty good, and you can revise the clip after you've done it to see where you would have got the point. It doesn't fail you though if it thinks you've clicked too much like the actual test computer would, so I've got no idea if I would have blown it in the real test by being too cautious. I am doing just as 3ight8ball says, but it's still hard to know where they draw the 'overclicking' line, which is why I wanted to know if anyone who's done the test may have clicked as much as I have been. I guess I'll find out soon. 9 days to go!

Hi, squiggle I'm pretty sure that link I gave you tells you when you've over-clicked. Have a read up on it on there before you pay, but I'm almost positive. Good luck for in 9 days time! :o)

Hi,

There is no actual limit for maximum number of clicks
But dont click saveral time on the window ff you click several times during this window of time the computer will always take your highest score and record that for that particular clip.
If you don’t click the mouse button in this window of time you will score nothing in respect to that hazard.
