My sister has a problem with installing Adobe reader and I tried to overcome this with no success. She is is using Windows xp. Yesterday I downloaded and installed ( or so it seemed) this for her but when trying to open the programme it said it had to close and the send message of problem to microsoft came up - the only response that windows had no fault to report. Please can anyone help or suggest a cause for this
many thanks

I only found out about this here the other day. It's smaller and faster than Adobe.
You can thank ChuckFickens for the link:

The only thing I can suggest initally, from looking at the system requirements for the latest version, may be that you are not running service pack 2 or 3.

Alternatively, scrap the idea of using Adobe! It's a bit of a resource hog at times, and I would recommend using something like Foxit PDF Reader instead:

Chuck may be around and offer some other ideas!
Yep, my pasted link didn't work :(

Thanks very much folks I think you're probably right about the service packs - any way I have given her the link to Foxit and she can then read her telephone bills etc!
