8 Answers
logged a note there and had no question - anyway here goes - just received quite a very authentic email from Santander telling me that my account had been closed and could I just log my details on again and I will be accessed again - of course I did not do this. However I want to let Santander know how authentic this email was but since I am deaf I need to do it by email and I cannot find an email address for them. Would anybody have one - thanks

You could google part of the email and you will probably find it is a scam. there will be other people on the internet who have had the same email as you. Anything asking for you to log on your details should set alarm bells ringing. :)

The companies provide an email address for reporting these, and there's also a an organisation called millermiles or something like that,
But I stopped forwarding these ages ago as I can't imagine what they could possibly do with all of these. It's not as if they can trace them to whichever gang is behind it thousands of miles away.
Does anyone work for a bank and know if they really do follow these up?

Factor,
Yes they do, but it's really hard to convince the hosts of some of these scam pages to remove them. bizarrely it's often the ones hosted on university computers that are the hardest to get taken down, the ones hosted by regular/legit webhosts tend to be removed as soon as the hosting site is made aware of it.
