dont be dieting. you will pine so much for the foods you like that you only end up eating more of them. just cut down your portion sizes and done eat snacks and sweets. drink pleanty water and keep going to that gym. dont drink lots of alcohol either....but if you must make it  a spirit and diet mixer.
Do what the 17 year old girl at my work has done, go to one of those Chinese herbalists shops and get the teabags, she has lost 1 stone in 4 weeks but feels great and her skin is alot better too. It costs around 20=30 quid for the teabags but you reuse them, if you live in a reasonable sized town there should be one of these places there.

thanx 4 ur advise :) ill giv dem both a go
hi Rachel,Well it sounds to me your on the right track by joining a gym.I am 2 1/2 stone lighter than i was 4 years ago i am my ideal weight & have been for over 2 years. But i didn't diet i love my food to much i just changed a few things, grilling rather than frying, drinking plenty of water, smaller portions, but the main thing is to be sensible about what you eat & always have breakfast..Another good one is if you can eat your main meal at lunchtime,I know this isn't always possible, but it gives your body more time to burn the calories..& NEVER eat just before bed.But remember it is better to lose it slow & steady rather than it 'dropping off' each time i've done that i've put it back on again just as quick & always with a few pound extra..I know its an 'old chestnut' but it really is a lifestyle change rather than a quick fix.Good luck i'll be watching out for your updates.x.P.s It might be an idea to start saving your pennies now for the sexy number you'll be buying for your birthday..
The best thing you can do is cut out sugary foods. In theory its easy but in practice its really hard! But stick with it for a while and youll see the benefits, which will make you want to carry on. If you stick to this, then when you do allow yourself a treat (at Christmas or a birthday) youll appreciate it so much more because you havent had it for so long. I always get a sugar craving after dinner, the best way to combat it if you cant ignore it is either have some fruit or brush your teeth the mintyness should curb your craving!

Also cut out white flour have whole grain bread and get special pasta made from brown rice & millet. Try to cut out caffeine and dont over do it on the alcohol. Get yourself some healthy snacks like fruit, veggie sticks or seeds to stop yourself reaching for the biscuit tin.

Exercise wise, you sound like youre doing well. If you did want to try something different though Id recommend the body doctor. He has a posh gym in London which costs a bomb, but you can buy his book off of Amazon so you can do his workouts in your local gym or at home (if you buy a few pieces of equipment). He does a lot of weights based exercises which improve your posture too, and if you need more persuading hes who loads of the stars go to when they need to shape up!!!
have a word with your gp, there will be a dietician attached to your surgery and if you saw your doc when you were depressed they will be able to really help you achieve your goal. I think by your 18th your be a slinky sexy rachel!
