- Lobsters, crabs, shellfish and other similar creatures that are live when sold but intended for human consumption.
- Live insects, crickets and worms used as bait or feeder food for pets."
I still don't really think it's nice though!
Hi Boo, I think the seller is fairly explicit about the delivery - he's sending the fish by courier. It seems fair enough to me.
As for buying from your local pet shop, how do you think they receive their fish stocks?
A few months back, when I was setting up my tank, I was trawling (no pun intended !) around my local-ish aquarist shops on one day. Every shop I went to seemed to be having their live stock delivery - and it was always the same driver!
Basically, the orders are made up at the suppliers and shipped out the next day to the shops. It seems all the aquarists in my area receive deliveries from this supplier on the same day. The fish are all packed up in polystyrene cases to preserve heat, and the water is injected with a dose of oxygen to see them through.
I thought the seller seemed to know what he was doing, and seemed to have it all set out pretty well, explaining exactly what you get, what he'll do and what the buyer needs to have ready at the other end!
