not normally, hi im Sniper, i work at a broadband technical advice call centre just so you know, i get many callers who have problems with norton, personally i have tried the software myself and it does have problems , one time after just installing it and running a live update it said some norton files are missing, so yes it is a common problem, personally i'd say if your subscription is about to end to switch software because it's not as though this problem has only just cropped up, i can if you wish recommend alternative software if you wish otherwise i'd advise you to speak to norton who you should be able to help you
