My Dad had a melanoma removed from his back a couple of years ago. Eventually it spread to lymph nodes under his right arm but had these removed too. He has to have regular scans to make sure the cancer has not spread. In the past couple of weeks a lump has appeared under the scar where he had the melanoma removed. Can anyone tell me if this is just scar tissue as I'm worried and he does not have a hospital appointment for a while. The lump had started to grow a little but now he says it's shrinking. Can anyone put my mind at rest?
I had a breast lump removed many years ago, and a lump formed below the scar.. it was just internal scar tissue (which went). they tried to drain it with a whopping needle and I could have screamed!
I hope everything is okay with your dad. perhaps he should have a word with his gp?
