No point giving tips. People will say stay calm etc etc....but that'll make no difference on the day. Just try to appear really confident. When turning right at a junction don't sit and wait for the car two miles away to pass before you pull out.
Don't do your test in an automatic, then when approaching a roundabout hit the wrong pedal and jump forward into the side of a police car. You will fail i'm afraid
I was advised to take a couple of Kalms before my test, and I did, and I was not nervous at all which was pretty good!
Although with mine I was going for a job I was desperate for at the same kind of time, so concentrated more on that as my test I could take again, but I wouldnt get the chance to go for the job again. I passed first time :-)
I passed my test in an automatic in 1974, driven autos ever since, never once then or since did I hit the wrong pedal, there are only 2 and it's so simple,
I passed on the first attempt. A miracle really , cos I don't think I deserved a pass. However I was 8 months' pregnant and could hardly get behind the wheel. I think the examiner thought if he failed me, I might give birth there and then.
I do think it's harder these days - all this theory & stuff.
I 'failed' my first test before I even got in the car. I was in military uniform and went to the test centre. The examiners started calling peoples names out........Mr this, Mrs that etc and I was the last to be called. I was barked at with him just using my surname even though my rank badges were visible. I told the guy he was out of order.....I never had a chance.
