Climbing plants
2 Answers
In a spurt of enthusiasm I bought a wisteria plant, a jasmine plant and a honeysuckle from eBay. I have half a bag of ericaceous compost and some big pots in the garage, which will allow them access to a drainpipe, or alternatively I can try to dig a hole in the garden and ask them to climb up either a birch tree or a fence.
What do you think?

By all means use the drainpipe but make sure the drainpipe is secure to start with, and that the plant does not get too heavy for the pipe over the years and start to pull it down. Also remember if you need to change your guttering and drainpipe in the future you may end up losing your plant
I would use your big pots and buy a willow frame for them to climb over
