25th Anniversary.....

Just listening to the radio & they mentioned 'Live Aid' is 25 years old today. - - I remember it all very well, I wasn't there but all the stuff on TV was brilliant. (also it was my daughters b/day) We had a fab day.

Do you remember where you were? What you were doing?

Yeah, I watched it off and on throughout the day.

I have it on DVD and it's still fabulous, highlight for me being Queen.

i remember that my class was on a school trip to Germany and the bus drivers had it on the radio for the journey to the port.

I was round my mates house playing "Manic Miner" on the ZX Spectrum. Amazing in it's day but I saw a screenshot of it a few months ago and it looks pathetic today.

I was at work that Saturday but finished at 2, I agree Queen stole the show, and like BOO I have it on DVD.
It was funny when Sir Bob got caught off camera telling people to 'c'mon, part widya fooking money.

And 25 years on, nothing has changed in Africa. Throwing money at this lost cause year after year is not the answer.

I agree another, might have been better spent educating them on Birth Control?

Watched it on tv, some bits were better than others. agree didn't do much good...the smaller more targeted efforts seem to bring change more effectively.... thinking about those that support villages providing schools, clean water etc...often done by small groups without celeb input,,,,

I was pregnant with lil pasta....and getting very emotional...blubbing my eyes out,and wondering what kind of world I was bringing her into.
