my supervisor asked what are you doing,i said my piece about how slow she was and the job will never be done in time!!
the lady in question then came up to me and called me a racist and said i had grassed her up because she is from pakistan and i dont like her!!
i went ballistic at her and got pulled away by my supervisor,i havent got a racist bone in my body and i am still bloody fuming over this?? cow!!

Some people just like to cause trouble... Racism is such a sensitive subject when it comes to the workplace that all it takes is one person to claim they have suffered from it and all hell breaks loose. I myself am also not racist and personally don't know anyone who is but I have seen this happen before, sadly. Chin up!

thx greedyfly, grrr makes my blood boil, now i can see why there is so many racust people about!!
And many of us will have worked with colleagues happy to play the minority card if they hear anything or are asked to do anything they don't like... It happened to me when a junior member of staff said I'd corrected her because she was black... I pointed out politely it wasn't because she was black it was because she was incompetant, rude, and obnoxious Our boss at the time gave me a bit of an earbashing for it but agreed I was right..
Make a complaint about her.
Sometimes you just can't win
Just do your own Job Bernie & leave the Supervisor sort this person out, you will not win, is it worth loosing your job? I think not x

it is so annoying when people play the race card game no need for it!!
she had better keep out of my way tomorrow i tell ya!!! lol

er how can i put this!! my supervisor is non-white, hope THATS not a racist remark too!!
I find it disgusting that people cry wolf over things like this. In the end they will come unstuck if it really happens and then no-one believes them. I personally would just have a calm and collected word with your supervisor explaining that you have no problem with her because of her race but feel she isn't pulling her weight and you feel if you hadn't picked up the slack then things wouldn't have got done.

excellent greedfly, will have a chat tomorrow, i should have calmed down by then xx
Just be tactful and calm in your conversation and apologise for your outburst/behaviour =)
Make up with her. Buy her a bacon buttie at lunchtime and all will be well.
Yes you should hold out the olive branch for the staff member also, even if she is useless. Having a go at her wasn't the right way to go (I would have probably done the same though)
Next time someone pulls their race card out; just look surprised and say you're colour blind and hadn't noticed.
report altercation to boss, before it gets out of hand & she sues ur employer etc.
Cannot see how you were being racist. Useless is useless, black or white??!!
