Once again, this is “King John” (aka rockfordill) with my penultimate challenge for the month of June. In fact, I spent 25 years in the great American Midwest and that deserves more than a cursory mention. Rather surprisingly, I found that I had a certain affinity with the Midwest ~ I suppose this was partly to do with my father's specialty of painting and sculpting horses in general and western art in particular.
I was always surrounded by the art of Remington, Russell, Wyeth and others and found a natural feeling of empathy with the vast Midwest. The skies really are big out there. I always loved to camp and ride horses across a largely untamed wilderness. I have to say that riding out in Wyoming beats hacking in Surrey lanes by a country mile! One ranch that we stayed on was actually bigger than the whole of Surrey!
Good Morning King John. We had a look at the atlas this morning and realized that if you were still in Rockford we could drive for three to four hours and ride the prairie along side you. Nice thought but a bit late.
Herewith our efforts for today:
Mr. O
Prairie Moon
Corn Pipe
Ranch House
Chuck Wagon
Mrs. O
Prairie Grass
Corn Belt
Horse Ranch
Covered Wagon
Attn Ont-ice
Guessing by the maple leaves and Ont(ario) are you
from Canada ? Nice thought about riding across middle america
together but I have been back in the UK for a few years now!

Afternoon everyone, late again. As with last week, I haven't looked at any other answers before posting these. So - as with last week, they are probably all duplicates AND no points!
