Why do clothing manufacturers insist on putting tags in clothes that are spikey and itchy? Whether its tops, bottoms or underwear, whether its cheapo tshirts from bewise or designer clothing the blooming tags are all the same, I end up cutting em out and more often than not end up with a hole where the tag should be arrggghhh
i know i know! im constantly having to cut tags out of my tops which itch my neck. why cant they just write the information somewhere else. or have it stitched in a less uncomofortable place!
The other annoying thing about clothing labels is that the length of the label is often longer than the distance from the point of attachment to the edge of the garment. The result being that the label sticks out.
hi ondemania, glad its not just me (thought i had extra sensitive skin or something lol), I always have a red mark at the back of my neck or the bottom of my back and its really annoying, hi steved yeah you're right, i wonder why they do this?
I notice that in the States they are starting to print the washing instructions etc on the inside of clothes rather than have labels. Much better idea.
oops hit submit by accident, I was gonna say its a real good idea cos when you cut the tags out you have no idea which wash the item is supposed to go on
Hi pixi I though it was hyper-sensitive me too. The tiniest bit of scratchy cotton drives me crazy! I have to say that some of the labels in my clothes have lasted longer than the garment!
I don't worry about washing instructions - it's all the same bashing it on a rock down the river!
lol robinia, hope you're feeling okay, I usually sit there wriggling and squirming pulling at the tags until mr pixi takes pity on me and cuts them out :)
