i've just bought a new HD LG TV and my sister has the same telly. She said to watch telly with HD quality I would need a wire that costs around £70. Does anyone know the name of this wire that i conntect to TV?

The other end will go into a HD box, such as Sky HD or a Blu Ray player.

And dont listen to anyone that says you will get a better picture if you use an expensive lead, for shortish lengths (under about 20m) there is no benefit at all from buying an £70 HDMI cable.

Even if you have a HD tele you wont see HD unless the signal going IN to the TV is HD.
This can either be from a Sky HD box, Virgin HD box, Freeesat HD box, or a BluRay player (I think that covers it all).
If the signal is coming from anything else (normal Sky+ box, normal DVD player etc) it will NOT be HD.
