Decided I have to buy a new fridge freezer. I would like a 50/50 type upright that is frost free. My main bugbear is with the freezer drawers. Do any models have drawers that are NOT plastic? TIA

I agree with you they are a nightmare! It would also be a criterion for me when selecting a fridge/freezer. My Hotpoint Iced Diamond doesn't have plastic drawers in the freezer section, but it is about 6 years old. So the new models may have.
Never mind the drawers, get one thats not noisy. I have a competition going between the combi boiler and the fridge freezer.

I know that feeling Treetops!
Doc the one I want to replace is a Hotpoint.....not impressed I'm afraid.
Hi crapmemory, I also have Hotpoint one which is on it's way out. Nice fridge in looks with proper freezer drawers etc but doesn't run great. We are on our third lot of thermostats and other parts. It is also very noisy, with fans going nearly all the time, though I think that's the way most of the frost free ones are. I also have new Cannon cooker which is also made by same lot and that is crap too. They are delivering a third one in a couple of days time, hopefully the ovens will work on this one. Used to be very good company but what has gone wrong.
