My cousin has apparently been diagnosed with a suspected heart attack, he was waiting for a bed to become available before he could be admitted to hospital, however, he managed to leave 2 postings on his facebook page to tell everyone ! He is 36.....but Im not convinced - Im sure if he was suffering a heart attack he would be in too much pain to post on facebook surely !?? Im not in touch with him much but was just surprised at his postings this morning....
Mr mac was in hospital with a suspected heart attack a couple of months ago and on the day he went in he could barely speak let alone access and post on facebook!
you can actually have a heart attack with no pain at all called a silent MI (myocardial infarction) or the pain can mistaken for a musculoskeletal problem...it depends on a lot of factors They thought I'd pulled a muscle moving a patient until they saw the second of 3 ecgs years ago now luckily it was very minor
I do find it amazing that some people post on here to report some sort of trauma when they should be calling an ambulance or seeking some other sort of help!
I agree with you to a point boxy but some such posters apparently condense or omit from a chain of events and timescales are not usually in real time. As rowan states mi's come in different degrees. If somebody posting something helps them to keep calm it may well help them in the long run. I had a bad angina attack last night which was slow to respond to meds and I phoned a mate who understood and just chatted on quietly to me - helped me no end.
