Tom Cat pee

Had to take my cat to the vet and while driving there he got out of his box and peed on the footwell carpet (no mats). I have used 1001, Dettol spray, Autoglym spray freshener but nothing has lifted the smell and it's been 2 weeks It knocks me back each time I get in the car. Any other tried and tested products to get rid of it?

I have a product called Simple Solution Stain and Odour Remover which I got off Amazon. It's quite dear but it does get rid of the smell.

I have three toms. The stench sometimes can knock you out. I have found Oust 3 in 1 spray is quite effective!

Neutradol gel is a good strong air freshener, it'll get rid of anything! We use it in our car when the dogs have been in it for awhile..You can get it from Wilko's.
Good luck, theres nothing worse than a smelly car!!!

TY I'll look at Oust and Neutradol too as I can get that from Tescos I guess. The smell is truly awful and I've twice had to give lifts to work colleagues, really embarrassing!

The smell is always worse if the cat has not been neutered, if you haven't had it done you really should.

My honky cats have all been neutered when young but their spray still smells as acrid as ever.....

Bi carbonate of soda. Pour on a generous amount and rub in. Leave over night and vacuum or sweep up. Repeat if necessary until smell goes. May take a couple of applications but does work.

I agree with wolfgang. I also use zybac for my two dogs. it really is very good and seems to clean carpets better than carpet shampoos,
