Hi wendilla, my son has just informed me that his topic for school this term is space and I thought it would be good for him to see the space station. Any viewings at a reasonable time over the next week or so? Or can you direct me to a website or something so that we can check for suitable times? Thanks :o)

Sorry I wasn't around earlier to answer you but Mojo has helped you out .The link above is interesting and you can get links from it. My youngest grandson is nearly 8 and he is very interested in it in fact he tells his teacher about it. Tonights view time 9 32pm for 3 minute viewing. Good luck with your viewing it is so easy to spot just look for the largest planet and it is like that just gliding across the sky

Hi mojo you didn't hijack. Free for anyone to reply. Nice you were around to help out. It is surprising how many people don't know they can see it and what it involves. I have been watching it for 4 years and it has actually got bigger with all the parts that have been added to it .If you look you can actually see the tail pieces at back .It is the size of 2 football fields just hard to imagine that it is so big up there.
Spaceshuttle Discovery is due to take of for the Spacestation on 1st november. This is when we might be lucky to see a double fly bye depending on course the Spacestaion is if over uk. I have seen a double flyover twice and that is a lovely sight . Also there was a double sighting earlier in the year when the progress rocket went up.
