Yes...that's why they say two weeks. Two weeks and stay at home. You start potty training you shouldn't put nappies on them when convenient.
who says 2 weeks? Because from what I can see there are lots of different ways. I guess its different for the actually children and what they are like too. So many different factors effect what potty training they will adapt to I guess :-)
4get, it would be quick if the child was actually ready.
I was once told that you could start early, have accidents, tears, and tantrums and still the child would only be dry as and when they are ready.

your neice is quite capable of weeing on the potty but only when she decides to. Shes happy to pee herself when distracted :)
yes I havent said that, I agreed that they have to be ready, I meant that each child will be different as to when they are ready. x But there is no harm if they are not ready putting them on a potty so they know what it is, so they can associate weeing with potty like you do with mini crx.
Yes 4get. All kids are different. The guidelines are two years old...takes about two weeks. If they are not ready or getting it in a few days...put the nappies back on and wait a few weeks.

When they are ready...it should take about 2 weeks max. My daughter was just gone two and she asked to go for a wee. Never used a potty (her choice) The boys were older...My eldest was about 2 1/2....he didn't tell me...he just pulled his nappy down and weed out the door....lol...cute kid :-)
Crossed wires then...there is nothing wrong with getting them to sit on a potty. just don't pretend that the odd wee they do means they are potty trained.
not when they are peeing themselves round supermarkets lol
Defo sounds like crossed wires :)
