Can anyone recommend any hotels or classy B&B's in the Norfolk area? I'm thinking of Holt in particular - there's a very boutique-y one called Byfords, but it's a bit expensive. I know North Norfolk pretty well - I'm thinking further down the coast.

Norwich is nice. I do like to be beside the seaside.... but we spend so much time on the sea, sailing & suchlike, maybe a city break or an inland break would make a change.

I've stayed at Titchwell Manor with the 2nd husband.... so didn't ought to go there!

Now the Hoste Arms - trés posh. I might consider that!
Blimey Salla, go to the Hoste Arms and you will be mixing with celebrities, Amanda Holden and her crowd hang out there. Personally I would avoid Burnham Market. It's a pretty little place but is just one big car park these days for 4-wheel drives. It really is Chelsea on Sea. Avoid staying there but nice to look round.

Victoria Hotel at Holkham is very nice but a tad expensive.

What about here (3 miles from me - so you might be put off!!)

The Feathers at Holt is nice - we eat there quite a lot.

I'll be thinking more about this..................
Beautiful setting on the River. Good food, etc. Very, very relaxing

but, only 1 mile from me!!! ....................... (my favourite dog walk)

Very classy indeed

And superb breakfasts. Very quiet!! Near Pensthorpe Nature reserve. Bit far from the coast probably (15 miles I would say)

Tried and tested by my very fussy and ladylike Aunt and Cousin!
isnt the hoste arms where amanda holdens mate was but he died recently loftie?
sounds fab, 4get - can you book the bed he died in?
Yep, all the stars came to his funeral 4-get, making Burnham Market even more crowded. It used to be so nice there! I avoid it like the plague these days. Much prefer Castle Acre. Hope that doesn't get spoiled!
jno he died of cancer, he did loads for charity and was a very close friend of hers
jno. He was the hotel owner!!
oh, not that sort of mate then. I thought maybe he'd expired in the throes of passion.
